Hibino Corporation's Privacy Policy

Based on the recognition that Hibino Corporation(hereinafter, "the Company"), as a total solutions company for professional AV & IT focused on the sound and images business, is responsible for protecting all personal information handled by the Company, the Company has established the following privacy policy. The Company works to ensure that its officers and employees are aware of the contents of the Privacy Policy and that personal information is protected.

Basic policy

1. Acquisition and use of personal information

The Company collects personal information within the scope of the intended purpose upon explaining the purpose of use.
The use of personal information shall not depart from such intended purpose and shall not be used for unintended purposes without prior approval of the individual unless otherwise required by laws and regulations. In addition, the Company takes effective management measures to ensure that the information is not used for any purpose other than for its intended purposes.

The purpose of the use of personal information

When requesting that a customer provide personal information, the purpose of use shall be indicated in advance. Personal information provided by a customer will be used within the extent indicated. Personal information shall not be used for any purpose other than the intended purpose without the customer's consent.

2. The method of request for disclosure, etc., from a representative or agent

If the person making the request for disclosure, etc., is the person's authorized representative or an agent appointed by the person, please include the following documents in the envelope with the documents referred to in the preceding paragraph.

3. Points to note

If a request for the disclosure of "Personal information subject to disclosure" corresponds to the following, there will be no disclosure. In this case, a notification will be provided noting the reason.

  • In the case that the personal information subject to the disclosure request does not correspond to "Personal information subject to disclosure"
  • In the case that the person's identification cannot be verified owing to factors such as any inconsistencies between the addressed noted in the written application, the address listed in identification documents, and the address registered by the Company
  • In the case that agency cannot be verified when there is a submission by an agent
  • In the case of there being risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the person or any third parties
  • In the case of there being risk of serious impediment to the proper execution of the Company's business
  • In the case that disclosure would violate laws and regulations

Personal information noted in the written application and identification documents shall only be used within the scope necessary for disclosure procedures, such as the identification of the person, verification of the person, and collation of the personal information subject to disclosure, and for the response.

Other matters

  1. 1.The Company may, if an inquiry, etc., is received by telephone, record the details of the telephone conversation to ensure that nothing is missed when listening to the customer's request.
  2. 2.When the Company directly obtains personal information, the purpose of obtaining personal information shall be clear and the personal information shall be used to the extent necessary for the purposes of such operations and to the extent that consent has been received from the person providing the personal information.
  3. 3.The Company may outsource the handling of customers' personal information. If operations are outsourced to a third party, the outsourcee shall appropriately manage the handling of personal information in the same manner as the Company.

  6. 6.Personal information refers to an individual's address, name, date of birth, age, gender, telephone number, family composition, hobbies, email address, bank account number, credit card number, and various numbers assigned to the individual as well as information on visited websites and information about complaints, consultations, and inquiries, etc., that can identify a specific individual or point to identifiable information when combined.
