It is with great sadness that Hibino Corporation announces the passing of its founder and honorary chairman, Hiroaki Hibino. He passed away on April 16, 2026, at the age of 92, due to old age. While he spent his days with passion until recently, he passed away peacefully after having lived a full life. We would like to express our deepest appreciation to everyone who extended support to him during his lifetime.

Hiroaki Hibino built his own television set at the age of 17, leading to him being called the “neighborhood scientist,” and his curious spirit remained unchanged throughout his life. He mastered technology through self-study and lived a life of conviction and passion as a pioneer of Japan’s audio and video industries

Per the wishes of the deceased and his surviving family, the funeral service was held privately, attended by closest family and relatives. We sincerely request that you refrain from sending condolence gifts, flowers, offerings, telegrams, or making visits.

As a corporate memorial service, a Farewell Gathering is planned to be held at a later date. Details, including the date and location, will be announced once they are finalized.
